The overtly Scottish themes threaded throughout my work stems from a lifelong love of Scotland's mythology together with an admiration of her overall beauty.

 

Originally, I come from a remote part of the Scottish islands and this has always had a subconcious effect on my illustration style as a whole.

My work, more overtly, has always had a symbiotic relationship with American comic books and graphic novels. My process of mixing and melding the two subjects has alot to answer for in shaping both my line work and character design qualities.

 

I have, in the past, had the good fortune to experiment with animation, and I hope you take the time to give them a wee watch.

 

Right now I'm finding dip pen and ink are my artist weapon of choice, but love getting messy with other mediums.
